Who We Are

1) Introduction

Manav Kalyan Samaj (Human Welfare) Sindhuli is a social organization based in Nepal, dedicated to providing free assistance to those affected by natural and man-made disasters, accidents caused by human errors, industrial and road accidents, severe illnesses such as cancer and kidney disease, as well as homeless individuals and the elderly. This organization was registered at the District Administration Office, Sindhuli, on the 22nd of February, 2024 AD.

2) Objectives

a) In the first phase, within 3 years, establish an endowment fund of NPR 30 million and provide financial assistance to the impoverished or ill individuals within the defined scope as per the organization’s regulations.
b) In the second phase, within 6 years, increase the endowment fund to NPR 70 million and reduce situations where people are forced to die due to lack of funds.
c) In the third phase, within 10 years, expand the endowment fund to NPR 150 million and broaden the scope of assistance.

3) Vision

Form committees in all 9 local levels of Sindhuli district and distribute membership with a rate of 9 members per committee.
Establish this Human Welfare Society as a collective institution representing all sections of society, including different genders, professions, entrepreneurs, businesses, employees and organizations to assist local governments.

4) Purpose

It is a non-profit organization established with the purpose of providing assistance to victims of natural disasters, man-made disasters, industrial accidents, road accidents, burns, snake bites, serious diseases (such as cancer and kidney failure), abandoned street children, and elderly people by offering essential equipment.

5) Financial Sources

The financial sources for the operation of this organization come from unconditional donations and membership distributions received from various government bodies, organizations, industries, businesses, donors, well-wishers residing abroad, and Nepali brothers and sisters both inside and outside Nepal, as well as the general public.

6) What is the basis of trust?

The collected funds will be kept in the endowment fund. The principal amount of any money donated will never be diminished, ensuring that no one can act with ill intentions or misuse the funds. Therefore, this organization will always maintain its stability.

Contact offices and committees will be established in all 9 local levels of Sindhuli district. These committees will involve local personalities. Both the membership distribution and service programs will run continuously and simultaneously.

8) Future Plan:

In the first phase, branches will be expanded in various districts along the BP Highway and Madan Bhandari Highway, such as Sarlahi, Mahottari, Udaypur, Dhanusha, Kavrepalanchok, Bhaktapur, and others. The operation method will be based on a centralized system.

9) Who can avail of the services?

a) The organization will not provide services until the account balance reaches NPR 1 million.
b) If some individuals are found in extreme distress, they will be provided services immediately, and the account will be reconciled later.
c) Once the organization becomes financially strong, anyone in need can avail of the services, regardless of caste, religion, gender, class, or political affiliation. No discrimination will be made based on these factors.

10) How does this organization provide help?

Services will be provided in coordination with the police or relevant authorities. Accident victims will be rescued from the scene and immediately taken to the hospital. Ambulance expenses will be covered free of charge. For cancer and kidney disease patients, the organization will provide services based on its financial capacity and decisions. In the case of natural disasters or calamities, the organization will prioritize swift action to provide primary services and rescue for the affected individuals.

11) How can one join this organization?

a) A general membership can be obtained by depositing NPR 1,000. (This type of membership requires an annual renewal fee of NPR 200.)
b) A lifetime membership can be obtained by depositing NPR 10,000.
c) A distinguished membership can be obtained by depositing NPR 25,000 or more.
d) Major donors: Donors who contribute land, build buildings, or donate goods worth NPR 500,000 or more will be awarded honorary membership certificates. If the donor wishes, the organization’s committee may decide to establish a plaque and a statue of the donor.
